Have you ever had ONE of THOSE days?

Experience is teaching me that I find what it is that I am looking for. I see what I expect to see.
I had one of those days this week! I had to get up three hours earlier than normal, pack food for my daughter & I, load the car and begin the trip in the dark… and then… the sun came up!

As we drove through the fog and the darkness, the orange blossom fragrance occasionally drifted into the car and caused me to take a deep whiff of the delicious, unmistakable aroma as the sun came up. We drove for two and a half hours enjoying calm music, then as we reached the interstate I popped in some No Doubt for a bit of an energy boost.

We were supposed to arrive before 9:00 and didn’t reach the parking lot until 10 after. As I unbuckled the seat in the back, I realized I was surrounded by absolute beauty! We entered the resort doors to meet our intended party, late. We were greeted by smiling staff to open the doors for us and hugs when we got to the room.

Our intended plans had changed, instead of a quiet day of discussions and some relaxation, we were to join 12 others at an amusement park. My initial thought was, “wow! 14 people in a group trying to stay together. Wonder how this will go?”

FABULOUS! We were able to see the entire park, ride all the important rides and complete it all, just as the park was closing. What was different this trip? The ATTITUDES.

I have begun experiencing this more and more as time goes on. When I enter a situation looking for the good, I find it! In days gone by I was looking for things to go wrong, and that is what I saw!

I strongly prefer to have better days. An exercise to try, begin your days with some gratitude. What is it that you are grateful to have in your life?

Zig Ziglar gives us an excellent example of it in this 9 minute video! Take the time, change your life!

Make it a GREAT DAY!
