Do you have the income to relax?

What if we were to focus on building something for the future? When I was young, my grandfather would take us outside and have us lay on the grassy hill to look at the sky. Sometimes to watch the storm roll in, sometimes to just sit quietly and see what beauty would roll, or scurry, by. Today, as an entrepreneur, I appreciate this so much more.

I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. I remember days gone by; the scramble to meet deadlines, turn in bids, and help those in crisis. (Insurance sales with a heart) I quickly learned that my father was on call 24/7 for his business. If he wasn’t out there working to make an income, we didn’t have one. I thought that was the only way to be an entrepreneur: on call 24/7 and no work=no money. My father was so dedicated to our family that he would schedule his time so he could be at every athletic event, every public speaking event and be there to support us, then he would work later in the evening or a bit on the weekend to make up the time. (time for money)

Robert Kiyosaki, in Rich Dad Poor Dad, pointed out a different way to look at entrepreneurship. How I could make my money work for me vs. the alternative of always working for money. We looked at different opportunities; the stock market is volatile, we don’t have the capital of $500,000+ to even glance at a franchise opportunity. The real estate market in Southwest Florida is prime for the picking, but again, requires quite a bit of capital. What is left? Are we out of luck?

I again, turned to Robert Kiyosaki and one of his more recent titles, The Business of the 21st Century, very insightful information. He talks about trends and where many of the very successful names are turning to the same successful business plan. Donald Trump, Warren Buffet, Roger Barnett, and many others are recognizing the same trends.

One of the advantages to a business like mine is the ability to expand. Right now I am particularly interested in talking with people who share my curiosity and interest for getting out of the time for money trade. If you are interested in hearing what Kiyosaki has to say about the options, you can listen to a CD that discusses the philosophy.

Who is writing your story?

Yesterday I had the privilege to hear an exchange student from Laos speak to my Rotary club. I was very enlightened by the things he said and by his personal history.

'Zach' began by comparing the differences between where he was born & raised for his first 13 years to his experiences in the United States. His community was mostly engaged in farming. They were mostly poor. He compared his home area to "the US 200 years ago". No plumbing, no toilets, no roads, and mostly no schools.

Zach explained that at age 13 he was separated from his parents and lived in the city. He wanted to learn math & English but could not afford the $3 per month that the classes cost. He settled on purchasing a book on how to learn English and taught himself.

In 2005 Zach became a Monk and remained a monk until he came to FGCU. He explained how, in Laos, family is your support team. You turn to your family for motivation and work together. He stated that it has been difficult here because other students can call home to talk with their families and his family does not have phones.

It reinforced my belief that life is what we make it.

This young man stood in front of 60 plus people and shared his story of determination.

Zach's purpose now is to get a good education, give 10 pecent of his salary to do something good for his people. His dream is to open a small English school in Laos to teach those still there and improve their lives.

Today, I received an email with a message from Lou Tice that seemed to reinforce what I had heard from Zach:

Winner's Circle Network with Lou Tice - 3/24/11 - "Living a Wonderful Life"

If a Hollywood producer wanted to film the story of your life, would it be an Oscar-winning epic or a direct-to-DVD cure for insomnia?

How well has your life been going so far? Have you been living your life to the fullest and making good use of your enormous potential? Or, have you been letting other people write your story for you, telling you what you can and cannot do, what your personality is like, and what is good enough for you?

You know, your life could be a glorious thing - the kind of story Hollywood producers would love to film or novelists would love to write about. Because the truth is that living an exciting, challenging, satisfying life is not something that is reserved for people who have a special something in their genetic makeup, who are especially smart or good looking, or who were raised by wealthy parents who gave them every advantage.

Living a wonderful life is a choice you must make at some point. It is also a commitment to grow into that choice - to make yourself into a star or a hero, no matter where you are starting from, no matter how long it takes, and no matter what you have to learn to do it.

By the way, being a star doesn't necessarily mean being in a Hollywood movie, and to be a hero you don't have to break a record or save someone's life. But you do need to have the determination and courage to discover your own special talents and gifts and persist in making the most of them.

Thank you, Zach, for reinforcing the belief that anything is possible with hope, determination, and persistance.

Have you ever had ONE of THOSE days?

Experience is teaching me that I find what it is that I am looking for. I see what I expect to see.
I had one of those days this week! I had to get up three hours earlier than normal, pack food for my daughter & I, load the car and begin the trip in the dark… and then… the sun came up!

As we drove through the fog and the darkness, the orange blossom fragrance occasionally drifted into the car and caused me to take a deep whiff of the delicious, unmistakable aroma as the sun came up. We drove for two and a half hours enjoying calm music, then as we reached the interstate I popped in some No Doubt for a bit of an energy boost.

We were supposed to arrive before 9:00 and didn’t reach the parking lot until 10 after. As I unbuckled the seat in the back, I realized I was surrounded by absolute beauty! We entered the resort doors to meet our intended party, late. We were greeted by smiling staff to open the doors for us and hugs when we got to the room.

Our intended plans had changed, instead of a quiet day of discussions and some relaxation, we were to join 12 others at an amusement park. My initial thought was, “wow! 14 people in a group trying to stay together. Wonder how this will go?”

FABULOUS! We were able to see the entire park, ride all the important rides and complete it all, just as the park was closing. What was different this trip? The ATTITUDES.

I have begun experiencing this more and more as time goes on. When I enter a situation looking for the good, I find it! In days gone by I was looking for things to go wrong, and that is what I saw!

I strongly prefer to have better days. An exercise to try, begin your days with some gratitude. What is it that you are grateful to have in your life?

Zig Ziglar gives us an excellent example of it in this 9 minute video! Take the time, change your life!

Make it a GREAT DAY!

Business of the 21st Century

"Network marketing teaches basic, critical life skills. It teaches people how to overcome their fears, how to communicate, and how to handle rejection and maintain persistence. This kind of education is absolutely priceless.

Here's what I tell people: 'Even if you don't like it, stay with it for five years and you'll be better equipped to survive in the real world of business. And you'll be a better person.'

The people who are successful in network marketing have a spiritual cause. They genuinely want to help better others' lives. If you don't have that, if you just want a paycheck, then work for the post office!"

Weight Management & The Job Market.

The Surgeon General reports that more than 9 percent of the nation's health care expenditures are directly related to obesity and physical inactivity. They calculate that to cost out at about $117 billion annually and relate to 300,000 deaths per year.

To put this into context 4,287 died in the Iraq war in a SIX year period yet we read the statistics every day. The death of 300,000 Americans (1,800,000 in six years) goes largely unreported.

Health risks associated with obesity include: hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, endocrine problems, gall bladder disease, lung and breathing problems, arthritis, and premature death.

We can ignore the actual health risks, as I chose to do for quite a while, and just look at the employment side.

The most prevalent type of obesity discrimination in the world is employment discrimination. According to the American Obesity Association, the vast majority of employers will single out an overweight job applicant and label them as impaired emotionally or inept in social situations - even when the applicant is just as well qualified for a job as all the other candidates. In fact, when employers were asked to rate potential employees, obese people are consistently ranked lower than even former felons and people with mental problems. A study released by the American Obesity Association said that obesity will play a greater role in securing a job than many other factors, including age, sex, and race.

Having been 50+ pounds heavier and in the workforce, this is an issue that touched my soul. As more and more Americans are doing without insurance, having to pay for their own insurance, or finding that their company plans are diminishing or disappearing altogether just to keep the company doors open. I began to wonder what the impact actually is.

These are some of the reasons I feel so lucky to have found a resource and the opportunity to offer assistance. I specialize in working with people who see weight loss and weight management as a key to overall health, especially those who would like to lose 10-100 pounds. I work with people who would like to take it off and KEEP it off healthfully, just as I did.

If you are ready to make a change and to leave these statistics behind, contact me. We can discuss your needs, wants and commitment. When you are ready, we can help you meet your goal with a weight loss/weight management plan.

A Company Car I could live with!

Cade VanHeel

“My dream car bonus will go to a 2011 Ford Raptor! My family and I used to love to go to the desert where I would ride my dirt bike. But in October 2009 I broke my back in an extremely bad dirt bike crash and since then haven’t been able to ride anymore. The Raptor is made for off-road driving and that means my family and I are headed back to the desert. Going to the desert is one of our favorite things to do, so I am so stoked that I will be able to do something out there once again!”

Desires

There have been many times when I knew it was time to do something, but just didn't.

Have you ever been there?

The thoughts keep popping up in your head, you may or may not be sure how to accomplish the task, but you KNOW its time to develop your strategy, line up at the tree, and when that light hits green SLAM THE ACCELERATOR to the floor and not look back! (If you do look back, you chance getting out of the groove and catastrophic failure.)

What is it keeping you from staging and going for your desires? Do you know what your desires look like? Is it to build a home with a big garage and a lift for rebuilding those classic cars? Is it travel the world on someone else's dime? Perhaps, to pay off those credit cards and to begin investing in your future.

We have committed to building the vehicle to our desires. Where else can QUICKLY and easily earn a vehicle paid for by our corporate sponsor and let it sit in the garage while we travel as a family, hosted by that same corporate sponsor. We have redirected our spending by investing in our own quality products to make our lives healthier as well as our lifestyle and wallet.

We have staged, deep, and are ready for another accomplished entrepreneur to join us in building a new, lucrative stream of income.

STEP ONE: Write out your desires.
Make them definitive/quantitative.

Put a date as to when you would like to achieve that desire.
Take 5 minutes and try to list 50 desires
(long term, short term, quick, easy, or difficult)
Let me know how many you get in 5 minutes.
