Last week a friend, while working, collapsed from heat stroke & suffered kidney failure as well. Dehydration plays a major role in heat stroke.
Just as our vehicles require engine coolant so do our Human Engines. Water is good to a point, but it is so much better when we add the right stuff.
Today, we find many "answers" to dehydration on the mainstream shelf. Many with artificial ingredients and a lot of added sugars. I will reach for those when I have no other choice. Just as I am very picky about what fluids I put into my vehicle, I believe the things I consume, personally should be pure and proven as well.
Remember, once the engine overheats, it's too late. You need to be proactive when you know you will be in the heat or exerting yourself. Begin re-hydration before you begin the heavy sweating. This will cut back on your tendency to overheat and suffer.
Our choice for re-hydration on 10 mile walks, mud riding days, and lawn mowing days is Performance, by Shaklee. If NASA can trust them, so can I AND they have 2 flavors to choose from.
